Data Tapes & Cartridges
Data tape and cartridges are used for protecting the important data of an organization. Data tape is a kind of magnetic tape, which is used for data back up. Magnetic tape is generally encased in plastic called as a cartridge or cassette- for instance the compact cassette and the 4-track cartridge. The cassette has magnetic tape for providing various content of audio by using the same player. It has a plastic outer shell that allow easy handling of the fragile tape, which makes it far more robust and convenient than having exposed or loose tape. A tape drive called as a streamer, which is a device for storing data that writes and reads the data stored on data cartridge.
